Rev CG & Jackie Ingram

Rev CG Ingram was  Born in Alabama in 1932

Graduated from Toccoa Falls College in 1954

Married Jackie Chastain in 1957

Served as superintendent of the Water Front Rescue Mission — 1956-1958

During that time he helped start an Alliance church in Brent, Florida and became its first pastor. In the fall of 1959 he and Jackie went to Viet Nam as missionaries with the Christian Missionary Alliance. They lived in Nha Trang for a year of Vietnamese language study. During that year their daughter, Brenda was born in Banmêthuôt, Daklak province.

After Vietnamese language study they moved to Phan Rang and began the study of the Roglai Tribal language. They were the first missionaries to work among the Roglai people.In 1963 their son, George was born in Dalat. They had a furlough in 1964 and returned to Viet Nam in 1965.

Shortly after their return the Dalat School for missionaries children was moved to Thailand. The Ingrams helped in that move and then remained at Dalat to care for the school property and make preparations for the yearly missionary conferences along with other conferences for the US Military conducted by the Chaplains.

In 1967 their son, Bert was born at Dalat.

In 1967 they began building a house in PhanRang to be back with their Roglai people.

Before the house was completed the 1968 ” Tet Offensive” happened and they were evacuated to Malaysia where they spend a year as dorm parents at Dalat School before coming back to the States in 1969.

Since returning to the States Rev. Ingram, with his family, pastor five years and six months in Pearl. Mississippi; thirteen years in Atlanta, Georgia, and since 1988 Rev. Ingram has been a pastor for Grace Alliance Church.
