Throughout the history of the church, small groups have played an essential role. From the time of Christ to today, these values have changed countless lives and helped the church to grow and reach thousands while at the same time give the closeness of a well knitted community. Giving the church the ability to grow larger and smaller at the same time!
Grace Alliance Church uses a “sermon-based” approach to small groups. Several groups of 6 to 14 people meet during the week to discuss the sermon message from the previous Sunday. This reinforces the Pastor’s message, and all groups are covering the same topic. Along with the discussion, a time of fellowship and a time of shared prayer complete the typical small group meeting. Groups meet in the fall, winter and spring. The summer months are used for evaluation and planning, and training new group leaders.
